Job summary

Tower Health's Phoenixville Hospital in Pennsylvania is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the surgical team during operative procedures, manage sterile set-ups, and help prepare and move patients. The role involves maintaining sterile technique, supporting the operating room team, and adhering to hospital policies.

Candidates should have a 2-year/Associate Degree (or equivalent education/experience), BLS certification, and CST/NCCT credentials within required timelines.

Qualifications

• Completes and maintains all competencies and trainings as required for role.
• 2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree

Responsibilities

• Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
• Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operations, and hands items as needed to the operative team.
• Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the operating rooms.
• The Surgical Technician is responsible for the provision of surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes, and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse.

Education

2 year/Associate Degree - OR - combination of relevant education & experience may be considered in lieu of Associate Degree
