Job summary

UPMC is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic operating room team. You will scrub in, prepare sterile fields, and assist surgeons with precision and focus in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining supplies, supporting turnover, and ensuring patient safety from admission to exit. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 to $25,000 is offered based on experience and commitment length.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient transfer/transportation.
• Inventories, orders, and restocks supplies.
• Assists in maintenance, care, and cleanliness of surgical supplies, equipment, and surgical suite.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of patient and unit supplies and stores these appropriately.
• Exchanges information about patient care issues or unit operations with RN, Nursing Assistant, Nurse Manager, and ancillary departments.
• Assists in executing efficient turnover time between procedures.
• Charges for supplies and equipment.
