Job summary

UPMC Hamot's Cardiovascular Operating Room is seeking a Full-Time Surgical Technologist to join a highly skilled team. This role supports 24/7 cardiovascular coverage with rotating 10- to 12-hour shifts and a focus on sterile technique, instrument handling, and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced cardiovascular OR.
• Demonstrated commitment to sterile technique and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile field for surgery and arrange instruments.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants.
• Maintain sterile supplies and assist in OR turnover.
• Verify placement and functioning of surgical equipment.
• Restock the OR and manage specialty trays and graft materials.
• Document procedural data as needed.
