HSHS St. John’s Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist Extern for PRN coverage in the Springfield, IL surgical services area.

This temporary role supports perioperative care during procedures and includes supervision by skilled staff to ensure proper patient care and procedure flow. The candidate is currently enrolled in a surgical technology program with a High School diploma or equivalent and must have BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Currently enrolled in a recognized surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Pay Range:$22.05 - $33.08A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.The Surgical Technologist Extern - PRN provides clinical services related to the perioperative care of the surgical patient to meet the needs of patients, families and significant others. This care is provided under the direct supervision of Surgical Technologists and RNs.
