**Flexible with school schedule and hours will be determined with hiring manager. Hiring for Appleton, Neenah, Waupaca, New London and Berlin. Should be located within a 30 minute radius to the hospital **
**Would like to see at least one clinical rotation completed prior to externship**
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Performs skills and procedures as per the department competency checklist under direct supervision of Surgical Technologist or Registered Nurse Provides quality, cost-effective care through individualization and collaboration with team members. Provides patient care that meets the growth and development, cultural diversity and special needs appropriate to the patient population served. Takes responsibility for professional growth and development.
Qualifications
Current enrollment in Surgical Technologist training program
Physical Demands
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
Occasional high noise level in work environment.
Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.
Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients.
