Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center, part of BJC HealthCare, offers a Surgical Technologist Externship as part of its Earn as You Learn program. Students will be paid while gaining hands-on OR experience under supervision.
Requirements include enrollment in an Accredited Surgical Technologist Program and a minimum of two shifts per six weeks (PRN). The cohort pays $18/hr; offers are anticipated by late November 2026, with start at the beginning of the 4th semester.
