Job summary

American Career College is seeking a Surgical Technologist faculty member to guide our students and shape the next generation of healthcare professionals. In this role you will mentor students, deliver instruction, and align coursework with state regulations and accredited standards.

You will collaborate with faculty and clinical facilities to assess student performance, update materials, and support outcomes-based learning.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with the appropriate coursework in the subject required.
• Graduate from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or CHEA in the specialty field or subject area.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in the healthcare field.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, role model and provide academic support for students.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and for the learning process.
• Apply teaching skills to the assigned schedule and assess student outcomes.
• Participate in assessment activities of courses/curriculum and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Improve class materials and syllabi within shared governance culture.
• Utilize diverse teaching methodologies to achieve learning outcomes.
• Maintain scholarly activities and engage in professional growth.

Current CST credential
