Job summary

SKH Skokie Hospital is hiring a Surgical Technologist for the Main Operating Room in Skokie, IL. The role is full time with an on-call rotation and hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm, requiring a prior surgical technology program graduate and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and obtains the required surgical instrumentation, equipment and supplies for procedures; exchanges drug trays under supervision.
• Performs scrub responsibilities according to physician's preference and hospital policies.
• Anticipates surgeon's needs for instruments, ligatures, sponges, irrigation, etc. during procedures.
• Maintains a safe environment and communicates effectively with patients from pediatric to geriatric.
