Job summary

Avera Marshall Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join our OR team. You will assist surgeons, maintain sterile technique, prep and sterilize instruments, and support intraoperative workflows in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a technical certificate or CST/TS-C certification and 1-3 years of surgical experience; weekend/holiday call rotations apply. Day shift; fulltime position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Technical Certificate Graduate from an Accredited Surgical Technologist Program
• Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - NBSTSA Upon Hire
• Tech in Surgery (TS-C) - NCCT Upon Hire

Responsibilities

• Assists surgeon within the scope of competency and standards of practice; maintains sterile technique.
• Rotates in SPD area cleaning & sterilizing instruments for OR, floors, ER, & clinics.
• Updates preference cards to ensure team members can perform procedures as per surgeon requests.
• Complies with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
• Verifies patient identity and operative details.
• Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments.
