Qualifications

• Graduate of surgical technology program required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, surgical pharmacology, and principles of asepsis/sterile techniques required.
• Familiarity with resuscitation protocols and Code Blue role required.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Specialty certification in surgical technology preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist during surgical operations under physician direction.
• Work as part of a surgical team to ensure optimal conditions for procedures.
• Provide a safe environment for patients undergoing a surgical or diagnostic procedure.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgical nursing staff, and ancillary departments to promote patient outcomes.
• Maintain effective communication and adapt to a changing work environment.
