Job summary

Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the operating room team under surgeon supervision, ensuring sterile environments and equipment readiness. The role involves aseptic technique, instrument handling, patient safety, and help with pre-procedure preparation; LPNs may be eligible; shift is day, full-time, 40 hours weekly; call rotation.

Requirements include graduation from an approved surgical technology program or LPN with license, BLS within 60 days, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology or graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing as an LPN.
• Experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
• National certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• If an LPN, currently holds an unencumbered LPN license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementation and evaluation of surgical care.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure equipment readiness for procedures.
• Prepare patients and assist surgeons during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Uphold aseptic technique and documentation of items used during procedures.
