Job summary

Mount Carmel St. Ann's is hiring a Surgical Technologist for full-time, dayshift duties in Westerville, Ohio. The role supports the surgical team by setting up and maintaining the sterile field and assisting the surgeon under RN direction.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from a surgical technology program, NBSTSA/NCCT certification, and BLS. Eligible for sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits as part of Mount Carmel Health System.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a surgical technology program, hold a certificate of surgical technology.
• Licensure: If a graduate of a school of practical nursing, current license in good standing to practice as a practical nurse in Ohio.
• BLS healthcare provider training is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meeting goals and initiatives for surgery department, including room turnover and first-case on-time starts.
• Assist in training/orientation of associates as directed by the Clinical Educator.
• Maintain a safe environment for the patient and ensure sterile techniques.
• Support the surgeon during operative procedures under RN direction.
