Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist for the Cardiovascular Operating Room at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville in Downtown, Jacksonville. This part-time role (36 hours/week) requires maintaining a sterile field and supporting the surgical team during open heart procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing instruments, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with Open Heart Procedures.
• High school diploma required; BLS certification required.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and participate in call rotations.

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

This is a part-time day shift position, working 36 hours per week. Candidates must be flexible to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and participate in the required call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for cardiovascular operative procedures
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Prepare, clean, and restock the operating room between procedures
• Participate in the required weekday and weekend call rotation

Experience Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience with Open Heart Procedures required

Education & Credential Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required
