Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support upon start.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C).
• Registered Surgical Technologist with VA upon start.

Responsibilities

• Incorporates AORN, TJC, and other standards into clinical practice.
• Coordinates delivery of services and engages the OR team in critical thinking.
• Facilitates transitions between pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.
• Identifies educational materials for specialty services needs.
• Leads team in striving for best practices.

Skills

Basic Life Support Certification

Surgical Technologist Certification (CST or TS-C)

Experience in cardiac surgery

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
