Qualifications

• Minimum of six years’ experience as a CST.
• Specialist in at least 3 major surgical specialties.
• Current CST/Certified Surgical Assistant certification required.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Surgical Technologist III performs technical support in the perioperative period under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following clinical standards of care.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedures
• Prepares sterile field with gowns, gloves, instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions
• Displays knowledge of procedure and patient positioning
• Performs counts with circulator prior to incision and before closure
• Gowns and gloves the surgeon and assistants
• Helps in draping sterile fields
• Maintains sterile technique during procedures
• Cleans and prepares instruments for sterilization
• Assists with terminal cleaning of the room

Qualifications

Required expertise and experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Course
• Ability to precept and serve as a resource in multiple surgical specialties
• Minimum of six years’ experience as a CST
• Specialist in at least 3 major surgical specialties
• Current CST/Certified Surgical Assistant certification
• AHA BLS certification
