Job summary

Park Nicollet in Maple Grove is seeking a Surgical Tech (CST) to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team. This casual day-shift role offers opportunities to travel to other Same Day Surgery Center sites as needed.

The ideal candidate holds CST or NCCT certification with surgical tech experience, and demonstrates aseptic technique and patient safety knowledge. You’ll work with a RN and a collaborative team to support multi-specialty procedures.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NCCT certification at time of hire or within specified timeframe.
• Surgical tech experience preferred; new grads considered if highly motivated.

Responsibilities

• Support Same Day Surgery Center teams in Maple Grove and at other sites as needed.
• Assist in providing patient care in ambulatory surgery settings under RN supervision.
• Apply aseptic techniques and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.

Position Summary:

Be part of our Same Day Surgery Center Team in Maple Grove with occasional travel to other Same Day Surgery Center(s) as needed.

We are looking for team members to support our growing services, with opportunities to provide patient care in our Surgery Center(s). We have a fast-paced multi-specialty Surgical Center. Our team is looking for candidates with a positive outlook and ability to work well on a team.

The Surgical Tech (CST) position practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating, critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity and caring.

Work Schedule:

• Casual Position / Day Shift
• Variable Start Times
• Variable Shift Lengths
• Rotating Late Shifts
• Occasional travel to alternate sites per rotation

Required Qualifications:

• Must be certified through one of the following Surgical Technologist Programs:
  • CST (https://nbstsa.org/examinations-cst.html) at time of hire or obtain the certification within 12 months of hire.

• NCCT (https://www.ncctinc.com/General/VerifyCertification.aspx) at time of hire or obtain the certification within 36 months of hire.
• Surgical tech experience required (would consider highly motivated new grad)
• Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
• Demonstrated knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SPD experience preferred - Cross training to Sterile Processing
• Currently validated CPR skills or BLS certification is preferred.
