Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Surgical Tech (CST) to join our surgical team. This casual position requires at least 24 hours over a 6-week cycle, with experience as a Surgical Technologist in our OR and opportunities to scrub for specialties such as CV, Robotic, Orthopedic, and Neuro. Must maintain certification, pursue ongoing education, and demonstrate aseptic technique and instrument knowledge.

Qualifications

• Must be certified through one of the Surgical Technologist Certification Programs.
• Maintenance of Certification must be maintained throughout employment.
• Basic knowledge of surgical instrumentation and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

• Practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse; supports autonomous clinical thinking and patient care.
• Assists in scrub roles for various procedures and pursues additional education for specialty assignments.
