Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Claremore, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the operating room team. You will prepare the OR, anticipate the surgeon’s needs, maintain a sterile field, and assist the circulating nurse during procedures.

Candidates must graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology program and have a high school diploma or GED. BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire.

• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse.
• Terminally clean the operating room after each procedure and restock supplies.
• Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual.
• Create and maintain a sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon.
