Surgical Technologist Certified – Openings at Multiple Locations

Join us at Bon Secours Mercy Health as a Surgical Technologist Certified at various hospital locations including Portsmouth - Maryview Medical Center, Newport News - Mary Immaculate Hospital, and Suffolk - Harbour View Medical Center.

Position Summary

Facilitates operative or invasive procedures by preparing sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment. Maintains sterile fields and supports the surgical team throughout procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certification by CST, NBSTSA, TS-C, or NCCT (requirements vary by state)
• Associate degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology
• At least one year of perioperative or related surgical experience (preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist during surgeries by preparing supplies and instruments.
• Maintain sterile environment and assist with surgical counts.
• Handle specimens and assist with patient preparation and care.
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives.
• Be available for on-call duties as scheduled.
