Job summary

Job Summary

The Surgical Tech prepares for procedures by selecting necessary equipment and supplies, assists with patient positioning, confirms the procedure with the surgeon, and drapes the patient according to guidelines. During surgery, the Surgical Tech maintains the sterile field, provides effective tissue retraction for optimal visualization, supports emergency responses in the operating room, and performs additional surgeon‑directed tasks while demonstrating department‑specific competencies.
