Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Surgical Technologist to perform direct and indirect technical tasks for patients before, during, and after surgical interventions. You will assist in setting up the operating suite, use aseptic techniques, prepare and position patients, and ensure correct patient and site during the surgical pause.

The role requires a one-year certificate or equivalent training; 1-3 years of Surgical Technologist experience preferred; CPR within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• CPR – American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.

Additional Employment Requirements

• Surgical Technologist (ST) hired after 12/29/2020 require one of the following
  
  
  
  • Education and Certification Accredited Surgical Technologist program completion and nationally recognized certification (CST, TS-C) within 6 months of hire. Military programs accepted.
  
  
  • Pre-existing Employment Employment as a surgical technologist by this facility before 12/29/2020, or at another facility within the two years prior to 12/29/2020.
  
  
  
  


• CPR – American Heart Association within 60 days of hire.
