Job summary

Northwest Eyes in Renton is seeking a Part-time Surgical Technologist for our Renton ASC location. A $500 signing bonus is offered. We provide on-the-job training and exposure to a wide variety of optical cases, with a supportive team of surgeons and staff.

Ideal candidates are patient-focused and team-oriented, with a commitment to exceptional patient care and a strong desire to advance within ophthalmic surgery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year ophthalmic assistant experience preferred.
• Current CPR/AED mandatory (ACLS preferred).
• Knowledge of sterile technique as applied to the operating room.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize instruments to the highest standards.
• Assist and handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during surgical procedures.
• Understand procedures and anticipate the surgeon's needs.
• Ensure quality patient care during operative procedures and work with physicians and staff as a team.
• Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique and vigilance of the sterile field.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize instruments to the highest standards.
• Assist and handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
• Gain an understanding of the procedures being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
• Ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and function cooperatively with physicians and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics.
• Maintain the highest standard of sterile technique and vigilance of the sterile field during the surgical procedure.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Windows or G‑Suite

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant
• Current CPR/AED is mandatory (ACLS is preferred)
