Job summary

Proliance Surgeons is seeking a Surgical Technologist for Seattle Orthopedic Center ASC to provide hands-on support to the surgeon and OR team. You will handle instruments, supplies and equipment before, during and after surgery.

Ideal candidates have graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, CPR and state licensure. Two years of experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and focus on patient safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program is required.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist preferred.
  • Current State licensure and CPR are required.
  • Two years of direct experience is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Work with health care team to provide optimal patient care throughout the surgical experience.
  • Maintain a friendly, positive, and caring attitude with patients, physicians and staff.
  • Properly handles instruments, supplies and equipment during the surgical procedure.
  • Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon based on requests and patterns.
  • Constantly monitoring for maintenance of the sterile field.
  • Assist in assuring that the proper supplies, instruments, and equipment are available for the procedure.
  • Assist in assuring that equipment is functioning properly.
  • Monitor use of all supplies; assist with inventory control by proper count of supplies/time used.
  • Continuing education to meet State requirements and keep current with health care changes.
  • Display professionalism at work and in the community as a representative of the Center.
  • Take an active role on committees within the department.
  • Identifies actual and potential risk to patients and others and takes action to minimize or eliminate risk and maximize safety.

Position Summary

The Surgical Technologist in the ASC provides technical hands-on support to the surgeon and operating room team by handling instruments, supplies and equipment before, during and after surgery.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Education/Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
  • Certified Surgical Technologist preferred
  • Current State licensure and CPR
  • Two years of direct experience is desired
