Job summary

UVA Community Health in Culpeper, VA is hiring a Surgical Technologist (SS5587). This full-time, days shift requires four 10-hour days from 07:00 to 17:30, plus one on-call shift per week and a 4–5 weekend rotation, to support the operating room team.

Under supervision of a surgeon and RN, you will ensure sterile technique, prepare instruments, and assist with invasive procedures to maximize patient safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Must be registered with Virginia Board of Medicine as a Surgical Technologist and hold/maintain CST or path to CST per VA rules.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and aseptic technique.
• Assist with surgical procedures and instrument handling.
• Prepare operating room and ensure patient safety during procedures.
