SURGICAL TECHNICIAN

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Surgical Technician functions as a vital member of the surgical team, supporting surgeons and nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient operative care. This role requires completion of academic and clinical training to function in the operating room and reports directly to a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities may include inventory management and the distribution or delivery of medications as required.

SHIFT DETAILS

• 10 or 12 hour shifts
• Shift depends on need of the unit
• Mandatory on-call coverage for all emergent cases
• Call rotation currently 1 in 9 (subject to change based on staffing levels)
