Job summary

Quincy Medical Group is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support safe, efficient surgical procedures in a fast-paced outpatient environment. You will prepare the operating room, assist surgeons, and maintain sterile technique throughout procedures, while collaborating with the perioperative team to ensure smooth case flow and high standards of patient care.

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred or required based on applicable regulations.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Previous surgical experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms by assembling sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures while ensuring a safe operative environment.
  • Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures.
  • Perform surgical counts with nursing staff according to established protocols.
  • Prepare and handle surgical specimens according to policy.
  • Assist with patient positioning and operating room setup.
  • Monitor inventory and restock surgical instruments and supplies.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing staff to promote efficient case flow.
  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention and patient safety standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support surgical services.

About the Role

As a Surgical Technologist at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a critical role in supporting safe and efficient surgical procedures. Working closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, registered nurses, and the perioperative team, you will prepare the operating room, maintain sterile technique, and anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout each procedure. Schedule & Work Environment

Full-time position, Monday-Friday, daytime hours. Schedule may vary based on surgical case volume and departmental needs. No routine holidays or overnight shifts. Fast-paced outpatient surgery environment supporting a variety of surgical specialties.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $19.59 - $29.39 per hour, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
