Responsibilities

The position assists surgeons and other surgical staff during procedures. The Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon, registered nurse, or other surgical personnel and maintains constant vigilance for the maintenance of the sterile field to maximize patient safety. The position ensures that the operating room environment is safe and needed equipment is available.
