Lincoln Surgical Hospital is an innovative healthcare leader in providing exceptional surgical services for our patients. Our dedicated physicians and staff strive to achieve optimal surgical outcomes in a patient-focused atmosphere. We are looking for exceptional people to provide extraordinary care as a Surgical Technologist.

The Surgical Technologist is involved with the instrumentation and technical aspects of the operative event.

Hours: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period (2 weeks), Monday - Friday, between 6:00 am - 7:00 pm.

Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

• Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to implement principles of aseptic technique.
• Perform scrub duties for a variety of surgical procedures with adaptability and flexibility.
• Understanding of principles of surgical positioning.
• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment use and care.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia, and potential complications.
• Recognize signs of emergency situations and interventions.
• Apply competencies in age-based needs of patient populations, considering limitations in hearing, sight, comprehension, and cognitive skills.
• Identify, select, and coordinate equipment and supplies required for scheduled procedures with the circulating nurse.
• Assist in pulling instrumentation, supplies, and equipment.
• Assist in room preparation, disinfectant, turnover, cleaning, and restocking.
• Identify supplies needing to be ordered.

Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program, current BLS certification required at time of hire, and Surgical Technologist Certification within six months of employment.

Preferred Experience: Previous experience in surgery or prior scrub experience.
