Job summary

Vitenas Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a full-time CST to manage instruments, supplies and equipment during procedures. The candidate should understand the procedure, anticipate the surgeon's needs and maintain a sterile field to ensure quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room.

Requirements include graduation from a Surgical Technologist Program and NBSTSA or NCCT certification. A minimum of two years' experience in perioperative care is expected.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program.
• License/Certification: NBSTSA or NCCT certification.
• Two years of experience as a surgical technologist or competency in two or more specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Assist during procedures by handling instruments, supplies and equipment.
• Understand the procedure and anticipate the surgeon's needs.
• Maintain a sterile field and contribute to patient safety during the operation.
• Keep up with a fast-paced operating room flow.

Job Summary

Looking for a full-time CST who will handle the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedures. He/she should have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field. Must be able to keep up with our fast paced operating room flow.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program

License/Certification: Certified in Basic Life Support and current Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills

• Two (2) years of experience as a surgical technologist and/or has demonstrated competency in two (2) or more specialty areas
• Demonstrates knowledge and practice of perioperative patient care concepts; demonstrates the ability to perform independently as first scrub in assigned specialty areas.
