Job summary

Cuyuna Regional Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technologist to help prepare and manage the sterile environment in the operating room. You will assist with patient preparation, gowning, and providing instruments to surgeons under perioperative RN guidance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of surgical scrub experience with related clinical training allowed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the sterile environment in the OR per AORN/AST guidelines.
• Assist with patient preparation from transport to surgical draping under RN guidance.
• Provide instruments and supplies directly to surgeons during procedures.
• Perform post-surgical tasks: room turnover, instrument decontamination, restocking.
• Collaborate with surgeons, PAs, and nurses to ensure efficient, safe operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with patient preparation, from transport to surgical draping, all under the guidance of a Perioperative RN. During surgeries, you are vital in providing necessary instruments and supplies directly to surgeons, anticipating their needs to maintain efficiency and safety.
