Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, part of Henry Ford Health in Michigan, seeks a Surgical Technologist to support operating room procedures. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment under direction of RNs and surgeons, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role involves patient preparation, assisting with transport, and responding to emergent situations, with a day shift, rotating weekends and holidays.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or military equivalent training.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 month of start date.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.

• Schedule: 40 hours per week, Day Shift, scheduled between the hours of 6:30am - 7:30pm, Rotating weekends and holidays

Role Overview

As a Surgical Technologist, you play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures by handling instruments, supplies, and equipment. You’ll work under the direction of Registered Nurses and Surgical Team members, anticipating the needs of surgeons and supporting patient care in the operating room. Your expertise contributes directly to the safety, comfort, and successful outcomes of our patients.

What You Will Do

• Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment during general to moderately complex procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical team members to ensure seamless operations.
• Assist with patient preparation, transport, and specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or six (6) months specialized patient care training in the armed forces.
• Current BLS certification or ability to become BLS certified within one month of start date.

Preferred Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist certification.
