Job summary

Surgery Center of Chevy Chase invites a Surgical Technologist to join our ambulatory surgical team. The role entails scrubbing for procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and preparing all necessary supplies and equipment.

You will work with physicians and staff to ensure patient safety and smooth operating room flow. Ideal candidates have a surgical technician background, aseptic technique knowledge, and strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate care for patients before, during,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and/or Surgical Technician program or equivalent experience.
• Certification as required by state and/or center.
• Past ambulatory surgical center experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication to collaborate with staff, patients, and physicians.

Surgery Center of Chevy Chase is seeking a Surgical Technologist!

*Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, nights or calls*

Surgical Technologist at Surgery Center of Chevy Chase

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians

Pay Range- Min: $28.96 to Max: $41.99 ( Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
