Lower Bucks Hospital is a community hospital serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care. Located in historic Bristol, Pennsylvania, the hospital is well-known for its knowledgeable medical staff, including cardiology, orthopedics, radiology, wound care, and general surgery. The hospital has more than 200 physicians on staff and approximately 700 employees.

Responsibilities

The Operating Room Tech is responsible for preparing sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure, maintaining a sterile field during the case, and providing the surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires effective April 2014.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years of experience (surgical setting preferred).
• Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties (e.g., GYN, General, Plastics).
• Experience in scrubbing at least minor procedures in specialty surgical areas (e.g., ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
