Job Description Summary
This position will make immediate contributions to the team responsible for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) transient analyses, while being technically mentored by a team of high performing engineers. The individual will work within an energetic team environment to perform thermal hydraulic and plant transient analyses to support a variety of applications including BWR reload analysis, power uprate and new power plant analyses. The position offers limitless opportunity to learn the fundamental bases of nuclear power plant operations and safety analysis by applying state-of-the-art thermal hydraulics methods to satisfy licensing requirements and solve real day to day plant problems. Additionally, this position has direct customer-facing opportunities through training, deliverables, and collaboration. The transient analysis team offers unique opportunities to create and/or improve cutting-edge automation and methods.

The individual will lead a variety of projects including technical evaluations and analyses in the area of plant transients, thermal hydraulics, Anticipated Transients without Scram, Heat Balances and thermal hydraulic fuel channel analyses. This individual will deliver products at a consistently high and sustainable level in accordance with customer requirements, business procedures, and regulatory agency guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or similar).
  • At least 6 months of nuclear analysis experience

Eligibility Requirements:

  • The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified remote candidates will be considered.
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

The base pay range for this position is $80,000-105,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 7/7/2025.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
