Job summary

Qualifications

Advanced Surgery Center of Sarasota is a busy, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center performing outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, spine, pain, and podiatry. We are an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International, which provides first‑class surgical services for local communities.

Responsibilities

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. The candidate maintains a sterile field, prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to the procedures, and supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. The candidate also participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
