Job summary

Advanced Surgical Care of Clearwater is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to scrub for procedures in a fast-paced ASC. The role maintains a sterile field, prepares supplies and equipment, and collaborates with the surgical team to support patient care.

Qualified candidates will have CST certification, completion of a surgical technician program, and experience in ambulatory centers; orthopedics or ENT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program.
• CST certification required.
• Experience in ambulatory surgical centers preferred.
• Experience in Orthopedics or ENT preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.

Responsibilities

Surgical Technologist (CST)

The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• completion of a Surgical Technician Program
• CST
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred
• Experienced in Ortho and/or ENT highly preferred
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians
