Vibra Hospital of Western Massachusetts - Central Campus, located in Rochdale, MA, is a 47-bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Our patients often require additional critical care services for complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation, and ventilator weaning. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer a fast-paced and friendly work environment where you can truly get to know your patients and their families.

Responsibilities

The LPN/LVN is responsible for clinical functions on the unit, including all aspects of patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. The staff LPN/LVN ensures the unit functions smoothly, organized, and efficiently, under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of nursing care. Key components of the role include demonstrating clinical competence, managing patient care, improving quality, establishing professional relationships, utilizing skills, fulfilling hospital responsibilities, and developing clinical expertise in the specialty.

Required Skills

• Current, valid, and active LPN/LVN license in the state of employment.
• Current BLS certification from a Vibra-approved vendor.
• IV Certification required.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• One (1) year of clinical experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Three (3) years of medical/surgical experience preferred.
• One (1) year of area-specific experience preferred.
• Ability to project a professional image.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Working knowledge of computer and software applications used in job functions.
• Free from illegal drug use and effects of substances in the workplace.
