Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Surgical Technician for contract full-time work in Torrance, CA. The role focuses on sterilization of surgical equipment, preparation of instruments, and ensuring all devices are functioning properly to support sterile operating room procedures.

Qualifications

• Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement.
• One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred.
• Biology-related degree which includes a degree/certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Sterilize surgical equipment.
• Arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure devices are functioning properly.
