Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions in California seeks a Surgical Technician to assist the operating room team by maintaining the sterile field, preparing instruments and supplies, passing instruments and medications, and supporting surgeons during cases in our California facility.

Responsibilities include setting up sterile setups, maintaining aseptic technique, completing instrument counts with the RN, and handling equipment and clerical duties to ensure efficient case flow, safety, and quality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s/Technical degree preferred.
• Scrub technician experience preferred.
• Operating room experience and/or training preferred.
• Surgery Technician Certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification from an approved vendor required.
• CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical cases, instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Set up and maintain a sterile field using aseptic technique.
• Pass instruments, supplies, and medications during procedures.
• Complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN.

Essential Functions

• Prepare surgical cases, instruments, supplies, and equipment.


• Set up and maintain a sterile field using proper aseptic technique.


• Pass instruments, supplies, and medications during procedures.


• Complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the RN.


• Maintain surgical equipment and specialty inventory.


• Clean equipment and maintain an organized operating room.


• Collect case data and perform required clerical duties.


• Transport patients according to unit needs and priorities.


• Label solutions according to established standards.


• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
