Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is hiring a Surgical Technician Resident. The role is full-time, 1.0 FTE with 8-hour variable shifts and a $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires.

The program includes onboarding of at least 6 months, working with surgeons, anesthesiologists, RNs and other staff, and increasing responsibility as a resident assists in procedures and maintains sterile practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program with required credentialing.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire is required.

Description

Residency: Graduates hired directly from a Surgical Technology Program without work experience will complete an onboarding process lasting at least 6 months.

Works with surgeons, Anesthesiologists, RNs, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care during surgery. Works with a preceptor and assumes increased responsibility during the residency, the surgical tech resident is accountable for handling instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure, anticipates the needs of the surgeon in providing these, and maintains a sterile environment.

We are hiring for Surgical Technician Resident position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK!

Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Variable shifts, 40 hours per week.

$10,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Required qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Completion of a Surgical Technology program through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or Accreditation Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or graduated from a Surgical Technology Military Training program.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $26.20 - $40.08
