Job summary

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking an OR Technician for the Surgery Center in Clemmons, NC. This PRN, part-time position supports the RN by preparing the operating room, stocking supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique before and after procedures.

Qualifications include graduation from a Surgical Technology program or nursing school, required OR experience, and BCLS certification. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and efficient instrument management.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Surgical Technology program or from an accredited school of Nursing.
• OR experience is required.
• BCLS certification is required.
• Certification in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality patient care, safety, and advocacy through critical thinking, anticipation and management of case specific needs, under direct supervision of the RN.
• Ensures complete, accurate and timely care, cleanliness and management of instruments, equipment and supplies.
• Communicates to the team, co-workers and patients in an effective, positive and professional manner. Demonstrates effective, positive, professional manners while exercising verbal and nonverbal communication to the multidisciplinary team, co-workers, and patients.
• Takes personal responsibility and initiative for performance, professional growth and development.
• Demonstrates cost containment activities of instruments and inventory.
