Job summary

Main Line Health's Lankenau Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Technician for per diem shifts. Under the supervision of an RN, you will check and set up instruments, perform counts, and scrub in to assist the surgeon during invasive procedures.

The role offers opportunities to develop professionally through MLH Education & Development classes, and you'll join a team committed to safe, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• One year of Operating Room experience required.
• Successful completion of an accredited course in Operating Room Technology.
• Surgical Technician CST certification preferred if training occurred before 12/29/2020; CST certification required within 60 days if training occurred after 12/29/2020.

Responsibilities

• Check and set up instruments prior to procedures.
• Perform counts and scrub in to assist the surgeon.
• Handle specimens and assist with patient positioning and transfers.
• Participate in OR turnover between cases.

Position:

Surgical Technician

Shift:

Per Diem - minimum of 36 hours per 6 weeks.

Experience:

One year of Operating Room experience required.

Education:

Successful completion of an accredited course in Operating Room Technology.

Licensures/Certifications:

Surgical Technician Certification CST Preferred if surgical technician training occurred on or before 12/29/2020 and candidate practiced clinically at any time during the two preceding years. Certified Surgical Technologist (by National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) Certification required within 60 days of date of hire, if surgical training took place on or after 12/29/2020.
