Job summary

BMCHS is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join the Menino Operating Room team. The role involves preparing and sterilizing rooms, transporting patients, passing instruments, and assisting surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during surgery.

Requires a surgical technology program graduate with a surgical tech certification and active BLS. Prior OR experience and English proficiency are preferred. Sign-on bonuses and comprehensive compensation are included.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Surgical Technician certification required; Active BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• PRep and sterilize rooms and prepare the surgical environment.
• Transport patients and pass instruments during procedures.
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other staff.
• Maintain sterile technique and proper handling of equipment.
