Job summary

Boston Medical Center's Menino Operating Room (Inpatient Surgery) seeks a Certified Surgical Technician to support the surgical team in an aseptic environment. You will prep and sterilize rooms, transport patients, pass instruments, and assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other staff during procedures.

Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited surgical technology program, and Surgical Technician certification with active BLS.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Surgical Technician certification required and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care during surgical procedures in a safe aseptic environment.
• Prep and sterilize rooms, transport patients, pass instruments.
• Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and other staff during surgery.
• Maintain sterile technique and follow established standards.
