Job summary

Mobridge Regional Hospital and Clinics is seeking a Surgical Technician or LPN for their surgical team. The role involves preparing for surgical procedures, assisting during surgeries, and maintaining a sterile environment. Ideal candidates will be high-school graduates who have completed a surgical tech program and are able to obtain certification.

Position

Surgical Technician or LPN – Mobridge Regional Hospital & Clinics.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for surgical procedures.
• Assists surgeons and surgical team during procedures.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care.
• Maintains sterile technique in the operating room.
• Participates in safety measures, organizes and maintains the sterile field, and ensures supplies are available.
• Assists with cleaning, packaging, and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays in the OR and clinic.
• Acts as a resource for patient care areas regarding sterilized trays.

Minimum Education

High‑school graduate with completion of a surgical tech program and ability to obtain certification as a Surgical Tech.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Surgical Tech (new graduates acceptable). Basic Life Support (CPR) certification within two months of hire. LPN licensure considered with training.

Skills

Work Schedule

6:30 am – 3:00 pm Monday‑Friday with rotating night, weekend, and holiday call.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary dependent on education, certifications, and experience. Eligible for shift differentials, call‑back pay, and all MRH benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, paid time off, and sick leave.
