The role emphasizes adherence to HIPAA, teamwork, communication with diverse patients, and strict attention to safety, counts, and aseptic technique; OR experience and BLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in delivering the highest standard of patient care.
• Trouble shoots equipment problems and reports malfunctions.
• Maintains sterile field and appropriate aseptic technique.
• Prepares and organizes equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Ensures equipment and emergency supplies are available.
• Assists with OR turnover and sterile supply prep.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Follows policies for surgical counts and corrective actions as needed.
• Supports inventory management and quality improvement initiatives.
