Job summary

ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital in Monroe, MI is seeking a Surgical Technician to support the Surgery Department. You will prepare for cases, maintain sterile technique, and coordinate with the circulating nurse to ensure accurate counts of sponges, instruments, and sharps.

Qualifications

• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or an LPN program.
• LPN licensure required if hired into an LPN capacity.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and manage surgical cases with aseptic technique.
• Maintain sterile field integrity and address breaks quickly.
• Work with the circulating nurse to count sponges, instruments and sharps.
