Job summary

WakeMed is seeking a Surgical Technician, Labor and Delivery I to join the operating room team. Under supervision of a surgeon or registered nurse, you will help ensure the operating room is safe, verify that equipment functions properly, and assist with the operative procedure to maximize patient safety.

You will assist with patient triage and support instrument breakdown and care on the Labor and Delivery deck.

Qualifications

• Graduate Surgical Technology required or an Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology, or Military Surgical Technology training.
• No specific experience required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patients in triage.
• Assists with breakdown and instrument care in the Labor and Delivery deck area.
