Job summary

EyeSouth Partners is hiring a Surgical Technician to support surgeons by preparing and maintaining instruments for all procedures. You will ensure regulatory standards are followed and supplies are managed efficiently in a surgery center setting.

Responsibilities include stocking and organizing supplies, maintaining sterile areas, reporting incidents, and supporting ongoing operations with speed and accuracy. Competitive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of surgical tech experience required.
• Ability to work in a surgery center environment with patient contact and safety considerations.
• Must understand and follow instructions quickly and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Obtain supplies from other areas as needed.
• Return supplies and equipment to the proper location.
• Assist in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly.
• Address health or safety hazards for self and patients.
• Report unusual occurrences accurately to the Clinical Director.
• Perform other duties as required.

Eye Center of Texas has 6 Board Certified Ophthalmologists and 8 Therapeutic Optometrist with 6 locations. We offer comprehensive medical and surgical care, including laser cataract surgery, LASIK, vision correction, glaucoma, retina and vitreous disease treatments and more.

We are now hiring a Surgical Technician to assist surgeons by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards.

• Obtaining supplies from other areas as needed
• Returning supplies and equipment to the appropriate location
• Assisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderly
• Effecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patients
• Reporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical Director
• Performing other duties as required
• 8+ years experience
• Maintains current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-services
• Ability to work in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease under a moderate level of noise
• Must be able to understand and follow instruction with speed and accuracy
• Must be able to organize and set priority for work to be done
• Possesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skills
