Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Laguna Hills, CA is seeking a Surgical Technician II for the Saddleback Medical Center in the Surgery Services department. This part-time evening role supports the surgical team under RN/MD supervision and requires CST certification with acute care scrub experience.

Qualifications

• Proficient in scrubbing a minimum of 4 specialties.
• 2 years acute care surgical technician experience and CST certification or 10 years acute care surgical technician experience.
• Computer, internet, order entry and word processing experience preferred.
• Proficient in medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Safely and competently perform surgical techniques/procedures.
• Maintain clinical information system knowledge for documentation.
• Serve as role model/preceptor for new staff.
• Support and communicate with the surgical team and supervisors.
• Adhere to confidentiality and patient privacy requirements.
